woke up today and the record has been out in the wild for a whole week. it feels like you spend over a year holding your breath underwater and then suddenly someone drags you onto the dock by your collar and tells you to breathe normally. it’s disorienting.

my inbox is a mess of people telling me which songs made them cry and other people telling me the mix is too harsh. honestly? good. i’d rather you hate it passionately than find it boring.

new year, same bad habits. ate cold leftover pizza at four in the afternoon and played guitar along to old records until my fingers remembered how to play without thinking about tracking errors.
